DDRC Ltd. facility is located in the City of Limassol in South-western Cyprus. It is right on the Amathountos Avenue, or beach road, close to major Resort Hotels such as the “Four Seasons Beach Resort Hotel” and “Mediterranean Beach Hotel Resort”. It was established in 2000 to provide better service to the increasing number of SCUBA divers coming to our island.
At our unit we offer specialized medical care for Commercial and Recreational SCUBA divers suffering from Decompression Illness. Soon after its inception, a company called “The Oxygen Centre” was established on the same premises in order to provide Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment (HBOT) to patients suffering from various non-diving related diseases. We maintain our clinic Monday to Saturday from 09:00 to 17:00, with a 24-hour emergency response system in place. DDRC Ltd/The Oxygen Centre is staffed with trained hyperbaric physicians, certified hyperbaric technologists and experienced hyperbaric chamber inside tenders. Our unit follows recognized treatment profiles, mostly based on U.S. Navy, COMEX and European Undersea and Barometrical Society (EUBS) protocols, these bodies set the benchmarks for Decompression Illness (DCI) treatment globally. These protocols are applied on the physician’s recommendation depending on the severity of symptoms. The patient will be given one treatment, or a series of several treatments until all symptoms are completely resolved or alternative treatments are necessary.
